The KSE is Kuwait’s national stock market established after the passage of law to regulate the stock market in October 1962. It is the foremost stock exchange in the Arabian Gulf region. It is also the largest stock market in the gulf region.
As of Feb 2009 the listed sectors include banks, investment, insurance, real estate, industrial, services, mutual funds, parallel market and food industries. Non-Kuwaiti companies are also listed on the KSE. KSE prides itself of having a trading, information system, skilled resources, accessibility and a fair and orderly marketplace. KSE offers stocks and market instruments to domestic and foreign investors.
Some of the companies listed on the KSE as of 2009 are National Bank of Kuwait, Gulf bank of Kuwait, Kuwait Investment Company, International Financial Advisors, National Investment Projects Company, Kuwait Insurance Company, Gulf Insurance company, Kuwait real estate company, united real estate company, National Industries Group, Kuwait Pipes Industries and Oil Services and more.
